Plantation of Cabernet Franc at Château Trianon

Two parcels of old Merlot were torn down three years ago. Following this, the soils were worked, drained and meticulously prepared to accommodate young plants from Cabernet Franc. The excellent results obtained with this vine in other plots encouraged the estate team to increase the presence of Cabernet Franc in the encépagement of Château Trianon. This great variety, famous for its finesse and elegance, is particularly dear to Dominique Hébrard, who knew it in one of his most beautiful expressions at the Château Cheval-Blanc, which he co-owned.
